On November 25, 126 economic cooperation projects were signed at the Guangdong-Hong Kong Deepening Economic Trade and Investment Cooperation Conference, with a total value exceeding 100 billion yuan. The conference was co-hosted by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) in Guangzhou, bringing together key figures from both regions to discuss and solidify future collaborations.

These projects cover a wide range of sectors, including trade and investment, financial cooperation, modern logistics, innovative technology, green development, low-altitude economy, and cultural and sports tourism. The signings signify a strong commitment to fostering economic growth and collaboration between Guangdong and Hong Kong.
High-ranking officials, including Huang Kunming, Party secretary of Guangdong province, and John KC Lee, Chief Executive of the HKSAR, delivered speeches at the event. Both leaders stressed the importance of the Guangdong-Hong Kong partnership and its role in the development of the Greater Bay Area. Zheng Yanxiong, Director of the Central Government's Liaison Office in Hong Kong, also attended the event, highlighting the central government's support for the initiative.

In his address, Huang Kunming welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude to those who supported the cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong. He emphasized the historical and cultural connections between the two regions and the mutual benefits of Hong Kong's investments in Guangdong. Huang encouraged Hong Kong businesses to seize opportunities in the GBA and contribute to its development.
John KC Lee, in his speech, pointed out the GBA's status as one of China's most open and economically dynamic regions, offering vast opportunities for global investors. He affirmed Hong Kong's unique advantages under the "one country, two systems" framework and its role in integrating into the national development blueprint. Lee called for enhanced infrastructure connectivity and industrial collaboration to achieve a higher level of mutually beneficial development.
As John KC Lee noted, the business communities of Guangdong and Hong Kong have always been partners, beneficiaries, and contributors to the economic and trade investment cooperation between the two regions. Today, as leaders and enterprises from both sides gather together to sign a batch of high-quality cooperation projects, the shared commitment to serve national development and the determination to advance Guangdong-Hong Kong's economic and trade cooperation to greater depths are fully demonstrated.

The conference concluded with a shared vision to build the GBA into an internationally recognized bay area and a world-class city cluster. The event marked a significant step towards deepening economic and trade cooperation between Hong Kong and Guangdong, aiming to yield more fruitful outcomes in the future.
