The 15th China International Animation Copyright Fair (ACTIF)  kicked off on August 8 and will be running until August 11, 2025, in Dongguan, Guangdong. Over 2,000 globally renowned anime IPs gather at this grand event. Featuring industry exchange, technological showcases, and the integration of culture and tourism, the fair offers a top anime feast.

For years, Guangdong has remained at the forefront of China's animation industry, supported by major toy manufacturing hubs in Dongguan and the Chaoshan region. The annual retail market value for animation-related merchandise exceeds 5 billion yuan. Known as the "Factory of the World", Dongguan also serves as the Capital of Art Toys in China. Home to over 4,000 toy manufacturers and nearly 1,500 upstream and downstream supporting enterprises, Dongguan is the largest toy export base in China. The city produces over 80% of China's designer toys and a quarter of the world's animation derivatives that have been exported to the U.S., Japan, France, and many other countries and regions.

Moving forward, Guangdong plans to build a new development pattern for its film, television, and animation industry, focusing on ecosystem development, content innovation, talent cultivation, and international cooperation. By leveraging industrial and academic resources, Guangdong will actively promote the upgrading of film and television technologies across R&D and application, pooling strength to foster excellence and innovation in Guangdong's animated productions as they embark on a path to high-quality development.
