Guangdong hosts Chinese New Year Eve's Feast for global friends to celebrate reunion

For Cantonese people who can't live without freshness, the seafood event not to be missed is coming: the fishing season has begun! In order to get the first bite of golden pomfret, we head to the southernmost part of the Chinese mainland—the Leizhou Peninsula, and depart for the Havwii 2 Offshore Intelligent Aquaculture Platform.

From an aerial view, Havwii 2 lies like a blue whale on the emerald waves. It consists of three large net cages, which contain 30,000 m³ of aquaculture water and are home to millions of jin of high-quality sea fish, including today's star: the golden pomfret.
