Baiyun Mountain, Guangzhou (广州白云山)
A unique tradition in Guangzhou during the Double Ninth Festival is night hiking up Baiyun Mountain to pray for good fortune. Locals ascend the mountain at night carrying colorful pinwheels symbolizing good luck and safety. Afterward, they bring these pinwheels home, hoping to attract wealth and peace for their families throughout the year.

Wutong Mountain, Shenzhen (深圳梧桐山)
As the highest peak in Shenzhen, Wutong Mountain spans across three districts: Luohu, Yantian, and Longgang. Known as the ultimate hiking destination in the city, its summit offers sweeping views that resemble a traditional Chinese landscape painting. If you're fortunate, you may witness the breathtaking Wutong Sea of Clouds. There are multiple trails to the top, including a beginner-friendly route starting from the north gate archway.

Queshi Scenic Area, Shantou (汕头礐石风景名胜区)
The Huguo Mountain Scenic Area, located on the southern side of Shantou Port and surrounded by a beautiful bay, is named after its remarkable stone formations. The area features 43 peaks, with Xianglu Mountain being the tallest at 198 meters above sea level. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of clustered hills, rugged rock formations, stunning coastal landscapes, as well as explore traditional architecture nestled within the mountains.

Xuanwu Mountain, Shanwei (汕尾玄武山)
Xuanwu Mountain, located on the northern outskirts of Jieshi Town in Lufeng, Shanwei City, is a scenic spot nestled between the mountains and the sea. At its heart stands Yuanshan Temple, with the Fuxing Pagoda proudly perched atop the mountain's peak. From this vantage point, visitors are treated to stunning views of distant sailboats dotting the horizon. To the east of the pagoda lies a massive rock resembling a qilin, an auspicious mythical creature, giving it the name "Qilin Rock" due to its majestic appearance. The mountain is home to numerous historic sites, offering endless exploration and enjoyment for those who visit.

Jilong Peak, Yangjiang (阳江鸡笼顶)
Jilong (literally meaning "chicken coop") Peak derives its name from its main peak, which resembles a traditional chicken coop. The mountain has towering ridges, lush greenery, and expansive mountain ranges. Atop its kilometer-high ridgelines lies a large grassland. From the mountainside down to the base, layers of terraced fields spiral gracefully, offering a unique and picturesque landscape.

Guangdong First Peak Scenic Spot, Qingyuan (清远广东第一峰旅游风景区)
The Guangdong First Peak Scenic Spot is renowned for its towering mountains and deep, secluded valleys. With an altitude of 1,902 meters, Shikengkong stands within this region as the highest peak in Guangdong.
